Following the success of Noodle+ in White Plains, owner Saisuda Ittichaicharn is back with Seaspice: a traditional Thai restaurant on Cortlandt Street in Sleepy Hollow.
Ittichaicharn, originally from Thailand but now living in Westchester, said she noticed a desire in the county for traditional Thai dishes while running Noodle+. With reasonably priced classic dishes such as Pad Thai, pork belly, and Massaman Curry, the restaurant is already on its way. But beyond that, the menu features dishes like the addicting curry puffs appetizer, the massive Tiger Cry platter, (which comes with thinly sliced grilled beef), and fried ice cream as a dessert option. The bar serves a mix of wine and imported beers, such as India’s Kingfisher and Thailand’s Singha.
On a Friday night, the restaurant drew a varied crowd of families and couples, plus a stream of people stopping in for takeout (both groups likely helped by the restaurant’s off-street parking). The main dining can seat up to 50 and is open for private parties.
