Koelsch, an industry veteran who has worked since 1987 at Club Fit, which was founded by her mother in the 1970s, is now in charge of spending more than $1 million annually to ensure that members stay loyal to the club and that client retention is optimized. She is a firm believer in the importance of investing heavily in staff development and training. She loves that “Club Fit is a place where the whole family can work out and stay healthy” and touts the gym’s “commitment to creating space to foster relationships among members.”
A philanthropically minded business, Club Fit offers programs for cancer patients (Koelsch is a breast cancer survivor), and a newly introduced partnership with Mercy College has created a tailored cycling class for Parkinson’s patients. Koelsch is also deeply committed to sustainability (beekeeping is a hobby), so expect to see the Briarcliff location get new solar roof panels soon.
