Ease Into Father’s Day With These Fun Family Activities

Here are some of the best ways to spend your Father’s Day weekend in Westchester.

With Father’s Day on the rise, most of us are probably scrambling for the perfect gift and the most sentimental card. But why not do something better and just spend time with your loved ones? Here are some hidden gems in Westchester you can check out with your family this week.

Wednesday, June 12

To kick-off the week right (even though it’s already Wednesday — Yay!), be sure to stop by City Perch’s brand-new Happy Hour from 4 to 7 p.m.  Enjoy $5 beers and wines by the glass, as well as $7 handcrafted cocktails. Oh, and that’s not all! Try their Loaded Baked Potato Croquettes, Wings, Prosciutto & Arugula Flatbread, Oysters, and other specialty dishes for under $6 each. Today is the perfect day to unwind, but don’t worry, if you or your kids’ busy schedules keep you from indulging on Wednesday, City Perch’s Happy Hour extends to Thursday as well!

If you’d rather satisfy your palette with some Mexican cuisine, make your way over to Blue Moon Café in Bronxville for Marvel Cinematic Universe Trivia at 8 p.m.

Bring your kids and test your superhero knowledge with five challenging rounds on your favorite Marvel movies.

Thursday, June 13

On Thursday, enjoy some nightlife at the Audubon Center in Greenwich for the Wine & Cheese Moonlit Walk. Beginning at 7 p.m. as the sun begins to descend, indulge in food and drinks with great conversations and quality company for a night of bliss and relaxation.

If you’re someone who would rather laugh to unwind, head to the Bedford Playhouse for some Fabulously Funny Females! At 8 p.m., Carmen Lynch, Jane Condon, and Karen Bergreen will take the stage for a night that will leave you belly laughing and smiling from ear to ear. Had a tough week? This is definitely what you need.

Friday, June 14

Being that Friday is World Blood Donor Day, it’s the perfect time to showcase your care for the community by attending one of these two events happening around the corner from you:

First, the American Cancer Society is hosting all-day Relay for Life events in Yorktown at Jack DeVito Memorial Field and for Katonah-Lewisboro school district at John Jay High School. During these events, you can join members of the community as they come together to volunteer and fundraise to remember those lost to cancer.

And second, Empire City Casino is hosting their annual community blood drive from 1 to 7 p.m., where members of the community and casino donate their time and blood to those in need. Be sure to stop by, as guests who take time out of their busy schedules to donate will each receive a $10 gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts!

Saturday/Sunday, June 15-16

Finally, to finish off the week with a two-day bout of fun, make your way over to the Clearwater Music Festival, taking place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson. The Clearwater Festival (officially “The Great Hudson River Revival”) includes a wide array of music, dance, storytelling, the Artisanal Food & Farm Market, a working waterfront with boat rides and exhibits, and environmental education displays.

It’s the perfect way to spend a Father’s Day; enjoying good food, good tunes, good company, and beautiful Hudson River views!
