Everything looks better with soft, romantic lighting. Maybe that’s why we’re swooning over these photos of Rena and Dan’s wedding at Helsinki Hudson, a popular concert venue and event space in a renovated 1863 industrial building. For the music-loving couple, the venue struck just the right chord to create “something jazzy, romantic, and bold.” Rows of lights, tiers of candles, touches of gold, and plenty of glassware made the room shimmer against a backdrop of midnight blue. “I work as a creative director, and we knew we wanted to execute something that was visually unique,” says Rena. Music was at the forefront through the night with a trumpet-inspired monogram, USB drives loaded with a carefully curated playlist for guests to take home, and dancing after dinner at Club Helsinki (the venue’s performance space) complete with a band, DJ, and marquee lightning.
