Donuts Worth Driving For

Three shops worth the mileage – and the calories.

Coffee An’ Donut

343 Main St, Westport

There’s no donut here that isn’t worth driving for (and the coconut twist might even justify sitting in I-95 traffic) at this Westport mainstay. Even Bill Clinton is a purported fan: It’s rumored he regularly had donuts shipped to the White House.

Dohnut

10 Main St #106, New Paltz

This 90 sq ft shop turns out covetable cake donuts in a rotating litany of funky flavors, like root beer, speculoos cookie butter, pineapple upside down, and caramel apple.

Speedy Donuts

116 Connecticut Ave, Norwalk

Get the glazed (or anything that looks delightfully sticky and old-fashioned) at this no-frills breakfast counter and donut shop, making donuts the same way since 1969.
