WATCH: Danny DeVito and Other Celebs Are Begging New Yorkers to Stay Indoors

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is enlisting another of the nation’s resources to help fight the spread of COVID-19: beloved celebrities.

Starting Sunday, March 22, the governor’s twitter account began posting cameos from various tri-state area celebrities pleading with New Yorkers to stay inside to protect themselves and more importantly others from the spread of coronavirus.

NYC native Ben Stiller is apparently using his downtime to take up chainsaw art.

Jersey boy and national treasure Danny DeVito reminded us that “old people” are particularly susceptible to the virus and he is himself an old person, so we should stay inside if we want Danny Devito to live.

Born-and-bred New Yorker Robert De Niro asked politely and then vaguely threatened us to stay inside.

Brooklyn’s favorite VJ-turned-reality host La La Anthony told us to “Stay your butt inside,” and maybe talk to our family, though our families probably aren’t as cool as Carmelo Anthony.

Broadway’s Eliza Hamilton herself, Krystal Joy Brown, joined in the chorus to plead with the public to stay inside.

30 Rockefeller Plaza adopted son Alec Baldwin is also staying home and wants you to do the same.

If you won’t stay inside for yourselves or your grandmas, do it for the celebrities. Won’t someone think of the celebrities??
