What, you haven’t learned how to bake challah yet? Join 180 women to bake this tasty Jewish braided egg bread (traditionally eaten on the Sabbath and holidays) at the Mega Challah Bake at the Woman’s Club of White Plains on Thursday, November 6, at 7:30 pm. Receive hands-on instruction and come away with two loaves—one to keep, one to give to a lucky friend. Hosted by Chabad of Westchester County, this mega meetup is open to women regardless of Jewish affiliation or background and is intended to foster unity, educate about women’s leadership, and keep tradition alive through breadbaking. A few traditional prayers will be said over the loaves. Can you imagine the smell in that room? Photo ops aplenty, so you can be the one to brag on Facebook now.
Mega Challah Bake, Thursday, November 6, 7:30 pm. Tickets $25/person; register and get tickets here.
