Celebrate Mardi Gras at the Blue Moon Mexican Café

Drink up and eat up before the end of the Carnival season.

It’s time to party! Mardi Gras, also known as “Fat Tuesday,” is coming up on Feb. 28, and the Blue Moon Mexican Café has you covered with a place to celebrate. The Bronxville location will be hosting an all-day event in honor of the last day of the Carnival season before the beginning of Lent.

The festivities begin at 11 a.m. and will continue until closing, with menu specials and a New Orleans-style jazz band playing throughout the evening. The band will perform from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. while Mardi Gras promotional giveaway items, including beads of course, are distributed to attendees.

Each special menu item will be spiced up with a Creole twist, including Mexican jambalaya, which is a combination of sausage, chicken, and chorizo in a savory stew; the Bayou Burrito, a giant burrito stuffed with shrimp, chorizo, Creole sauce, rice, and cheese; as well as crab cakes and sautéed Cajun shrimp. Enjoy special beverages like the Cruzan Hurricanes and Pyrat Punch served in the Blue Moon Mardi Gras Hurricane glasses that guests get to keep at the end of the night.
