The iconic storage brand branches out with an innovative diagnostic tool that can automatically screen employees and customers for COVID-19 symptoms.
California Closets, the luxury brand of storage from walk-in closets to office cabinets and kitchen pantries, has released a one-of-a-kind health screening device for businesses in the wake of COVID-19 to aid in the re-opening of offices, health facilities, schools, and even shopping centers.
“Being a company with over 200 employees, we wanted to ensure everyone’s safety and we wanted to do this right,” says Masha Alimova, Director of Information Technology and Marketing at California Closets. “Our research team worked hard on coming up with the best solution which would benefit all. We knew exactly what we wanted and, since we could not purchase a unit that included everything that we needed, we innovated our own health scanner.”
The scanner was originally used within the offices, factories, and showrooms, but the positive responses towards the scanners from California Closet’s own employees has the company inclined to sell them to help local communities as a safe way to conduct business and efficiently practice CDC guidelines.
The scanner is designed for patrons and staff to walk through upon entering an establishment and provides a non-contact temperature screening using Federal Communication Commission (FCC) certified infrared technology. After the individual’s temperature has been detected, the results are then uploaded to an online temperature check log that can be seen through any browser, while an elevated temperature will prompt an audio alert.
The health scanner promises to “ensure a safe and healthy work environment” and can be fully installed through California Closets. For more information, email cc-health-scanner@caliclosets.com.
