Contrafect Corp. Appoints Lisa Ricciardi as COO

​Contrafect Corp. recently announced its appointment of Lisa Ricciardi as Chief Operating Officer. In addition to her new role, Ricciardi will continue to serve as a director of the Yonkers-based biotechnology company. Before working with Contrafect, she served as a Venture Partner at Essex Woodlands Health Ventures, Senior Vice President of Global Corporate and Business Development at Foundation Medicine and Senior Vice President of U.S. and International Business Development at Medco Health Solutions Inc. Additionally, she previously held several senior management positions at the pharmaceutical company Pfizer. She joined the board of directors at Contrafect in February 2017.

Matthew T. Huber Joins People’s United Bank as Senior Vice President

Matthew T. Huber is now the Senior Vice President, Market Manager of Health Care Financial Services at People’s United Bank. Huber holds more than 19 years of commercial lending and managerial experience. He spent the past eight years with First Niagara Bank and Key Bank, N.A. in order to develop their banking healthcare and enterprise healthcare strategies, respectively. At his new position, he will focus on providing financial services to nonprofit and for-profit healthcare companies across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, as well as overseeing People’s United banking healthcare strategy across product lines.

 

Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Reality Appoints Jane Murray Assistant Manager for Larchmont Brokerage

Jane Murray has joined Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Reality as new Assistant Manager of the firm’s Larchmont brokerage. Murray is a consistent Top Westchester Agent Award winner and has been recognized as a Westchester Five Star agent for the past four years. She holds more than 12 years of professional real estate experience in Larchmont and Mamaroneck. The role of Assistant Manager at the firm’s Larchmont Brokerage was created in order to continue the company’s substantial growth and success and to further ensure the individualized services they offer for their clients.

CaraMount Medical Welcomes Dr. Teresa Alasio as Medical Director of Pathology

Dr. Teresa Alasio has been appointed Medical Director of Pathology at CareMount Medical. In her position, she will oversee all efforts towards quality management, lab test procedures, safety and consultation within CareMount Medical’s pathology department. Dr. Alasio previously served as a Pathologist and Assistant Laboratory Director at Cairo Diagnostics Laboratory in White Plains.

 

Yankwitt LLP adds Alicia Tallbe as Counsel

Yankwitt LLP announced that Alicia Tallbe has joined the firm’s White Plains office as Counsel. Prior to her position at Yankwitt LLP, she practiced at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP. She also clerked for the Honorable Kenneth M. Kara and the Honorable Cathy Seibel at the federal courthouse in White Plains for over two years. Through her previous work, she brings experience in complex commercial litigation to her position at Yankwitt LLP.

Robert Miller is now the Campus Operating Officer for Berkeley College in White Plains. After earning his B.S. in Communications from Salem State University, Miller began work at Berkeley College as an Adult Admissions Associate. He was then promoted to Assistant Campus Operating Officer of Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan the following year, and served in this position until he was appointed as Campus Operating Officer for the college’s White Plains branch. In this position, Miller will attend to day-to-day operations and work with Berkeley College’s many departments to make sure the College meets its goals, policies and procedures.  He will also continue to work towards building partnerships with businesses in the community to ensure internship opportunities for the College’s current students and graduates.

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano appoints Jim Cavanaugh as Deputy Mayor

Jim Cavanaugh has been appointed as new Deputy Mayor for Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano. As Deputy Mayor, Cavanaugh will oversee the policies and operations of the city’s various departments and agencies. Over the past 22 years, Cavanaugh has also served as elected Town Supervisor of Eastchester, President of the Battery Park City Authority, and most recently an associate at Empire Strategic Planning, a government relations and lobbying firm. He has also served as Chair of the Facilities Committee for the Yonkers School District Board of Trustees for the past three years.

 

Palace Theatre Appoints Lisa Colangelo Director of Development

The Palace Theatre in Stamford recently promoted Port Chester resident Lisa Colangelo to Director of Development. Colangelo joined The Palace as a Development Associate in 2010 and was promoted to Manager of Member Relations and Special Events three years later. In this role, Colangelo was responsible for planning and managing all donor cultivation and fundraising events including The Palace’s Spotlight Soiree. She also served as the primary liaison to donors, board members, sponsors and prospects, coordinating all donor stewardship and recognition efforts. “From the beginning, Lisa has proven herself an invaluable member of our team,” said Michael Moran, Executive Director of The Palace. “We are thrilled to have her in this new leadership role and are confident she will continue to excel.”
