This week, we couldn’t be more excited to share the wedding of native Westchester couple Juliana and Tom. Currently Manhattan residents, both Juliana and Tom grew up in Bronxville, but didn’t meet until after college. “It’s funny to think we grew up less than a mile from each other, went to the same middle school and high school, but didn’t truly get to know each other our late 20s,” says Juliana.
First priority for planning the wedding: a venue with a scenic, natural vibe. “I randomly came across Grasmere Farm online and was immediately intrigued. We went up to Rhinebeck and I immediately fell in love with the space, knowing [we could] curate an atmosphere that felt ‘us,’” recalls Juliana. “I am obsessed with details, and the stone barn required us to be involved in choosing everything from the placement of the light fixtures to the forks. At times it was overwhelming, but seeing the details come together so beautifully felt like a huge accomplishment.”
While creating the perfect clean, modern-rustic aesthetic took a lot of work, find the dress was far less of a challenge. “It was the first dress I tried on,” admits Juliana. “I turned to my mom and said ‘this is exactly how I want to feel on my wedding day.’”
