Beth & Mike

After meeting through mutual friends and hitting it off during their first date at The Carriage House in Patterson, native Hudson Valley residents Mike Zambelli and Beth Kershaw-Zambelli knew they were meant to be. After four years of dating, the two became best friends, with a bond much like their parents’ longstanding relationships. It only made sense, then, that they chose October 15 – Beth’s late parents’ wedding anniversary – to tie the knot at Tilly Foster Farm in Brewster.
While Beth was waiting for the golf cart to pick her up before her vows, she had a peaceful and powerful moment to reflect. “I was remembering my late parents David and Bonnie Kershaw and thanking them for such a beautiful day on their wedding anniversary,” she remembers. “I was also thankful that my now father-in-law Joseph Zambelli made it to our special day (he was sick, and we lost him before Christmas). Then, of course, I couldn’t wait to see my future hubby at the arbor.”
To further honor her parents, the bride donned a beautiful silk bouquet (handmade in the Hudson Valley) that displayed their portraits. “I chose the silk bouquet because I knew I wanted to display it in our home for a constant reminder of our wedding day,” Beth says. A beautiful tribute, indeed.
