Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester Holds Humanitarian Award Dinner

Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester’s 18th annual Humanitarian Award Dinner, which included an auction, raised more than $350,000 and attracted close to 400 guests. The event honored Richard J. Smith of Entergy Corporation as the 2012 Humanitarian of the Year and the Junior League of Northern Westchester (JLNW) as the John Beach Award recipient. Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani served as award presenter.
The auction featured many unique items, including a horseback ride for four alongside Martha Stewart and Richard Gere to the Bedford Post, as well as a round of golf with Giuliani.
All proceeds generated at the dinner went to enhancing the Club’s programs and services for more than 2,000 youth members.
Lexus of Mount Kisco generously donated its headquarters for the event.
