Those looking for an alternative to Legal Sea Foods (which closed in White Plains last year), can go to Ridge Hill in Yonkers where the only county outpost of Bonefish Grill is located. The Florida-based seafood chain that began in 2000 now has approximately 200 locations (mostly on the East Coast). Bonefish pays allegiance to the same corporate master as Outback Steakhouse, although the former is perhaps a grade or two above the “down under” chain. Fish comes in daily, is cut on-premise, and is cooked over an oak-wood fire.

Approximately 20 new menu offerings were recently announced, including edamame hummus, watermelon salad with arugula, feta, and cucumbers; lobster grilled cheese, shrimp pad Thai, and a s’mores flatbread dessert. The cocktail menu also has new items such as a pineapple martini and cucumber cosmo served in an ice glass.

There's more than just fish to be caught at Bonefish, such as a gorgeous 13-oz rib-eye steak. |
While not new, a must-try is the signature Bang Bang shrimp (as many of the 300,000 folks who “like” Bonefish’s active Facebook page will corroborate), a hot heap of fried shrimp dusted with chives and drizzled with a cream sauce. It’s a whopping 800-calorie appetizer, but if you’re going to splurge from your usual daily calorie intake, it’s a hell of an enjoyable way to do it.
