Celebrity chef, food writer, restaurateur, and television personality Bobby Flay is making a meaningful statement in Westchester. As part of a new partnership, he’s collaborating with Paws Crossed Animal Rescue in Elmsford. If it seems like an unlikely pairing, that’s only because you haven’t seen Flay’s cat food company yet. The top chef expanded into the feline food industry back in 2021 with the creation of Made by Nacho, a premium cat food company inspired by his own feline, Nacho, who passed away in October 2023.
As part of the collaboration, Made by Nacho ensures that every cat at Paws Crossed receives high-quality, chef-crafted meals while they wait for their forever homes. This chef-crafted cat food is stocked with nutrition and flavor with nutritionist-approved ingredients. Flay’s brand has climbed the feline food charts and become a leader in premium pet nutrition – making the cat crew at Paws Crossed a lucky group.

“At Paws Crossed, we believe every pet deserves the best care possible,” says Jennifer Angelucci, the president/CEO at Paws Crossed Animal Rescue. “Partnering with Made by Nacho allows us to provide our rescue cats with high-quality, delicious meals that not only keep them healthy but also make their stay with us more enjoyable. We are beyond grateful for and honored by this very generous support from Bobby Flay and Made by Nacho!”
Made by Nacho sells wet and dry food, meal toppers, and treats. Flavors include chicken and pumpkin, salmon and pumpkin, chicken, duck, and quail, salmon and whitefish, and plenty more.
Making a Local Impact
April 5 will mark the first-ever National Nacho Flay Day, celebrating Flay’s orange Maine Coon, Nacho, and the launch of Made by Nacho in 2021. Through this partnership, up until April 5, 50% of profits will go to the Elmsford animal rescue. In addition, the collaboration will help raise awareness about the importance of proper pet nutrition and the impact it has on feline well-being.
