While the only location of a Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom in the immediate area has long been White Plains, these two luxury retailers are opening new stores at the much anticipated SoNo Collection — a mixed-use development in South Norwalk, just off I-95. In addition to Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, the 700,000 sq. ft. retail center will also feature other major shops like J.Jill, L’Occitane, and Sephora.
At the SoNo Nordstrom location, which opened in October, shoppers will find some of the retailer’s staple services — like complimentary personal styling — and can also expect new services including the Express Services to drop off returns and have on-site alterations, and the Beauty Haven, an in-store wellness-and-spa experience that will offer nail services, an Anastasia Brow Studio, and LED technology services for anti-aging and anti-pigmentation.
Shop exclusive styles to the SoNo location from Valentino, Givenchy, Golden Goose, and Christian Louboutin.
SoNo’s Bloomingdale’s, scheduled to open November 14, will offer the classic, luxurious garb and accessories expected of the high-end retailer and a favorite service — personal shopping.
Matt Dunphy, Bloomingdale’s trade area vice president for New York and New England, explains that the retailer has an engaged customer in Connecticut and is looking forward to bringing Bloomingdale’s to the community: “Our new Norwalk location will be a complement to our White Plains store, which has served as a pillar of the Westchester community for more than 40 years and plays an important role in the fabric of Bloomingdale’s.”
