On Saturday, February 7, the Big Brew NY festival, which Time Out New York called “one of New York’s best beer events,” returns to Westchester County Center in White Plains, with over 250 craft beers and a new all-cask session for VIP ticket holders. Presented by Craftsman Ale House, this session features 20 casks from local and international breweries, available to VIPs throughout the event. (Casks are a rarity at beer festivals, and it’s the freshest beer you can get, straight from the fermenter.) VIPs also get an extra hour of tasting, with special dishes made by Mambo 64 chef/owner Arlen Gargagliano with beer from Broken Bow Brewery. Award-winning food vendors The Cow and the Curd (your big chance to try Wisconsin cheese curds!) and Handsome Devil will be selling food to all attendees.
General admission buys you unlimited tastings, a souvenir tasting glass, and the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in prizes from Half Time Beverage, the world’s largest beer store, including beer, beer-related merchandise, and—get this—a 60-second shopping spree at their Mamaroneck store. Start planning now (hint: go for the Belgian and Norwegian stuff in aisles 5 and 6).
