Look for exposed brick and soaring ceilings to make Scarsdale’s buzzy new boite the welcome outpost of a Main Line, Pennsylvania, original. With a taut, seductive wine list and an all-welcoming menu, it’s no wonder that Scarsdalites are swarming to Savona after their hectic commute. Savona offers the perfect excuse for washing away workaday cares with a glass (or two!) of wine.
Look for a grazable menu of Italian favorites that include generous boards of Creminelli and La Quercia salumi to yield to delicious, sharable crostini that include the Tuscan classic of whipped chicken livers. The last is given a modern update with ample sage, frizzled shallots, and aromatic, house-pickled veg—plus, don’t miss seductive, house-made pasta. Our favorite is tossed with hearty fennel sausage and biting broccoli rabe. Also look for enticing pizzas and a short list of heavy-hitting mains like chicken under a brick, double-cut pork chops, and steak. To end, delicious house-made gelati are winners—look for a harmonic trio of fior de latte, salted caramel, and Nutella. Yum.
