A distinctly urban vibe contributes to the Fig & Olive experience. |
We realize this might sound cliché, but we don’t care because it’s true: Fig & Olive is among the most Manhattanesque eateries in Westchester. And by that we mean it’s trendy, elegant, and so tastefully adorned you’ll wonder why you haven’t been here before. The reason, no doubt, is because the place opened with a bit of a snobby ‘tude, which has since been adjusted with a new staff and the realization that, though it may do well in New York City and LA, Westchester is a different beast. That said, the bar is gorgeous, a long sweep of space that fills the left side of the restaurant. The effect is tranquil and pleasing, with soft, subdued lighting that can’t help but put you in a good mood. Plus, it’s fun to sample signature cocktails such as the Piscine, an elegant drink from the South of France made with sparkling wine on ice with fresh strawberries; the raspberry Mojito, made with rum, raspberry purée, fresh mint, fresh lime juice, and club soda; and the Summer in Provence, a concoction of gin, homemade rosemary-and-thyme syrup, muddled blackberries, and fresh lime juice.
Happy Hour: Not daily, but from 5 to 10 pm on Tuesdays, you can enjoy a selection of the restaurant’s Champagne and wine menu at half-price.
