Décor boutique and design center Bentley Jane opens in downtown Chappaqua, bringing with it home goods and elegant gifts.
A boutique spearheaded by an industry professional is always good news. Earlier this year, local interior designer Bentley Waters debuted her decor-and-design center, Bentley Jane (75 S Greeley Ave; bentleywaters.com), in downtown Chappaqua. The elevated, bright shop is a retail destination for home goods (tableware, cutlery), furnishings (new and vintage, as well as custom-designed pieces), and elegant gifts (candle sets, illustrative coffee-table books).
Those looking to decorate their homes need not stop at the register. Waters now operates her full-service design business out of the retail location: She can source furniture, wallpaper, and textiles, and offer the full gamut of interior design and renovation services. She can even assist with project management.
To get the gist of Waters’ aesthetic, potential clients need only look around the visually appealing store. Full of punchy hues and graphic designs reflecting Waters’ personal style, the space is a mix of modern and traditional (the influence of her design-industry parents), paired with vibrant colors, patterns, and a touch of whimsy.
