Mano A Mano

A multi-time Best of Westchester winner, Mano A Mano (Italian for “hand to hand”) seems an apropos moniker given the store’s stirring collection of Mary Rose Young hand-sculpted, hand-painted designs. But owner Mario Grosso has a hand in other unique picks, as well, including two rooms devoted entirely to MacKenzie-Childs pottery and furniture, colorful crystal chandeliers, Vietri Italian dinnerware, and the Brillante collection from Mariposa (which are engravable).

Plum Plum’s Cheese Shop

Gayle Martin and husband/wine importer Michael Riahi are true turophiles — the latter being a Certified Cheese Professional, one of fewer than 900 in North America and Europe to have earned that distinction. It’s not surprising, then, Plum Plum’s offers a seasonal, rotating selection of close to 70 farmstead, handcrafted cheeses, plus charcuterie and cheese classes, which serve as great foodie gifts. 7
