Eiluj Beauty Lounge
Owned by Julie Cuomo, this recurring Best of Westchester winner offers spa services like facials, waxing, brow sculpting, and laser hair removal. It is also a makeup lover’s paradise, with a large retail selection offering big brands, like Wander and Smashbox, but also now its own eponymous line, which debuted earlier this year, of highly pigmented blushes, lipsticks, and shadows.

Fado
Westchester’s cool girls head to Fado for a dose of originality, flocking to the store’s denim bar for brands like Citizens of Humanity, Agolde, and Habitual, among others. Owner Lisa Rodrigues-Hickey (who asserts, “Outfits don’t have to be have to be expensive to be cool”) embodies the store’s laid-back LA vibe, and ensures that county fashionistas have a “welcoming and fun” place to score casual pieces from hard-to-find clothing lines.

Old New House
Melissa and Dave Dilmaghani began their journey as retailers of vintage and antique hand-knotted rugs in 2011, on Etsy, and launched this Katonah brick-and-mortar in 2016. While the focus is still their vast inventory of rugs, the store also offers a charming selection of handmade home décor (both vintage and new) including pillows, vases, maps, and lighting, in addition to small-batch furniture made in-house.
