Founder Marcie Manfredonia Siciliano created Custom Candle Co. after searching the market in vain for the perfect nontoxic candle that would suit her family members who suffered from allergies and asthma. Environmentally conscious, Siciliano hand-pours candles made from all-natural soy and natural products into used recycled bottles (think Patron Reposado, Veuve Cliquot, and Maker’s Mark). Signature candles come in scents like cranberry-pear Bellini, pumpkin chai, apple oak, and cashmere wood.

The Loft at CW
The owners of the popular Bedford Hills furniture store Country Willow branched out earlier this year to open their new shop, The Loft at CW. The 1,750 sq. ft. space, next door to the original Country Willow location, houses a more urban style of furniture and accessories for the home — aimed at “Millennial and Gen-X shoppers who prefer modern, sleek lines with some rustic look and feel,” according to CEO Mike Leibowitz. The store’s inventory of living-, dining-, and bedroom furniture and accessories is intended to accommodate a wide range of budgets.
