Countywide beauty buffs who enjoyed indulging in high-end facials and massages may miss the decadent services at spa of the former Ritz Carlton in the heart of White Plains. While there have been openings of new spas throughout the bustling city, the concept of a full-service, onsite spa at the new, luxurious hotel, The Opus Westchester, was still deeply desired.

After much anticipation and buzz awaiting a debut, the hotel has exclusively shared with Westchester Magazine that the new spa will be opening its doors in August to offer what hotel general manager Elizabeth Andrews describes as a “truly new, elevated spa and wellness concept in Westchester County.”
The goal is for guests to indulge their mind, body, and soul for several hours or a full day at the extravagant destination, which will feature a whopping 10,000 square feet and 11 treatment rooms.
Expect standard spa services like massages and facials, including the HydraFacial, and next-level treatments like the signature Magnum Opus: a three-hour service comprising exfoliation with essential oils, a trip to the eucalyptus steam room and sauna, a private mineral bath and salt room for a sensory experience, and a shea butter massage. Anti-aging skincare and treatments will also be highlighted services, as will various body treatments like an organic aloe and seaweed wrap, a Vichy waterfall symphony, and cupping therapy.
Andrews, a Westchester resident herself, explains, “With everything from Vichy shower treatments and HydraFacials to a eucalyptus steam room, halotherapy salt chamber, an indoor heated pool [where guests can enjoy light fare], and more, our newly designed space will transport guests to the ultimate relaxation experience.”

The spa’s steam and sauna rooms are complemented by the 2,500-square-foot full-service fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, complete with Peloton bikes. Sound bath experiences and guided meditation are also available.
The spa will also offer high-end retail featuring wellness, home, and spa products, and jewelry from local artists.
Individual treatments as well as monthly memberships to the spa will be available to ensure a holistic lifestyle with luxe amenities is within easy reach in Westchester.
