This airy, light-filled store, located near Elephant’s Trunk, offers technologically advanced, fashion-forward, and eco-friendly outdoor, travel, and exercise clothing and gear. Named in honor of Maine’s Acadia National Park, it carries “everything you need to get you to Acadia, either physically or just in your mind,” says Jane Sims, who co-owns the store with her husband, Dan. Also offered: a full line of tents, sleeping bags, and camping gear.

This stunning, 7,000-square-foot, high-end design center and showroom offers Neff kitchens; bathroom fixtures from Villeroy & Boch, Duravit, and Kohler; furniture from Angelo Cappellini, Relfex/Angelo, Ver Designs, and more; and floor and wall coverings. “Especially in a down economy, quality products are a must when investing in your home, likely one of your biggest assets,” says owner Fred Mastroianni. Prices range from $10 for a kitchen-cabinet pull to $790 for a contemporary wood-and-metal end table to $17,000 for a wood-and-leather bed to $40,000-$250,000 for a fully outfitted and installed kitchen. Browse through 10,000 kitchen tools, from an OXO soft-grip-handled vegetable peeler ($10.99) to a tricked-out KitchenAid mixer ($400). And do check out owner John Porter’s favorite item: the Microplane Zester ($16.49). “It zests lemons and shaves chocolates and hard cheeses,” he says. “It is one of the best patented products that has come out in the food industry.”
