Fall Recipes for Your Face

An apple crumble scrub, pumpkin face mask, and Autumn Glow Facial

Is it just me, or are the lattés strolling around town lately awfully…red?

As much as I love the post-Turkey Day season, with its twinkling lights, rabid consumerism, and, yes, peppermint beverages in holiday-themed paper cups, at the moment, it’s still very much autumn—my favorite quarter of the year—and I won’t let Starbucks take that away from me just yet.

Thus, this weekend will be spent in protest, attempting the creation of a food-blog-worthy apple crisp or some other baked-from-scratch thing with a lattice crust. And when that inevitably fails, I’ll use the leftover ingredients to make an Apple Crumble Scrub or Pumpkin Face Mask.

Not one for DIY cleanup? Join the cause and get your fall fix with Derma Glow of NY’s Autumn Glow Pumpkin Facial (good for all skin types) while it lasts.

“Designed to eliminate dull, dry skin,” say the North Salem spa’s owners, Jennifer and JoAnna Sciarrino, “this aromatic treatment features Colorado organic pumpkin to exfoliate, followed by an infusion of anti-aging vitamins and nutrients deep into the skin to replenish hydration.”

Either way, at least you’ll look good serving store-bought dessert.
