Growing up in Mamaroneck, Jackie and Keane moved in similar social circles but it wasn’t until a chance meeting at a wine bar that they started to date. After getting engaged, the couple started looking for a venue that wasn’t too far from their families in Westchester, and fell in love with Roundhouse in Beacon. “We really wanted to be immersed in a setting that celebrated nature, as we both love being outdoors,” says Jackie. “The Roundhouse is beautiful and perfectly blended our tastes for natural scenery and modern interior design.”
Fishkill florist Dark + Diamond softened the industrial feel of the airy event space with natural elements — soft flowers, succulents, and fern accents — that mirrored the woodsy setting visible through floor-to-ceiling windows. The ceremony, officiated by a good friend, was held in the sunny, outdoor garden.
Jackie chose a Pronovias gown with lacy floral accents and a flowing train. (Her dad tipped her off about the designer’s flagship store in Manhattan). Stuart Weitzman white-leather stilettos completed the look. Keane chose a tailored suit in trendy navy, paired with a forest-green tie.
How do you pull off a self-planned dream wedding? “Really sit down and breathe,” Jackie advises. “Brainstorm together about what you love to do as a couple, and go from there.”
