ARCS honored Pleasantville resident Alan Shapiro and Hyde Park, New York, resident Carla Ramos for their support of local residents with HIV/AIDS at its Harvest of Hope charity gala. Approximately 120 guests attended the $150-per-ticket event.
Shapiro, a partner at Philips Nizer LLC in Manhattan for more than 20 years, recently conducted a food drive at the Woodlands Community Temple that netted 160 boxes of nonperishable food for ARCS’ Westchester pantry. Carla Ramos created the Hairdressers’ Disco Ball and Fantasy Hair Show in 2011 to unite her passions for music, the beauty industry, and assisting those living with HIV/AIDS.
Philips Nizer LLC, Healthcare News, Holland America, Superior Sounds, FW Interiors Design, Big Girl Baking, B Lounge, and the Beacon Creamery sponsored the event.
