Westchester high school seniors can finally look to a mall for a good education.
Well, not exactly. But, The Westchester mall is looking for high school seniors to apply for their college scholarship program through the Simon Youth Foundation, the nonprofit charity organization founded under mall owner, Simon Property Group.
Every year, the foundation awards one-time and renewable scholarships to students in every community that is home to a Simon mall. Once again this year, $1,500 will be awarded to area seniors who will be attending accredited colleges, universities, and vocational schools. There’s also a $10,000 “Award of Excellence” to be given to the nation’s top candidate.
If you or someone you know is interested, head to syf.org/scholarships to apply. The deadline for the application is February 20.
