Not wanting to see herself in a dress for the first time during an appointment at Kleinfeld, Stefanie went on a trial run to now-closed Fontana and immediately fell in love with this dress. “I was looking for something that was lace and form-fitted,” she recollects. “I didn’t want a poofy dress or anything with sequins, which is ironic because my entire dress was sequins.” |
Before they could dive into bottles from Kittle House‘s world-class wine cellar, Stefanie and Andy poured bottles of wine into a decanter as a sign of unity during the ceremony. |

To keep the white wedding from feeling too stiff and formal, the couple chose a fun, summery menu featuring lobster rolls at the cocktail hour and a DIY s’mores bar for dessert. They also hired the Marcus Reid Band to play the reception. “They get so into it. It’s kind of like being at a concert,” Stefanie says of the band. “They don’t just stand there and sing; they get into the crowd and dance.” There were light moments earlier that afternoon, too — like when Stefanie adjusted Andy’s bow tie right in the middle of the ceremony. “He tried to hold his composure,” says Stefanie, “and then he burst out laughing. I started laughing, and the reverend started laughing, and everybody started laughing.”
By the end of the night, it was clear the couple had succeeded in creating a day that was both relaxed and effortlessly elegant. “I remember I had gotten kind of warm, so I walked outside,” says Stefanie. “There were a lot of people roasting s’mores, eating ice cream, smoking cigars, and just hanging out. Seeing all of these people from different phases of my life, Andy’s life, and our life together, was just incredible.”
To keep the reception casual and summery, Kittle House set up outdoor tables during cocktail hour, and the bride set up a make-your-own-ice-cream-sundae table and a s’mores bar. |

“It was the first venue we looked at, and we knew right away that it was what we wanted,” recollects Stefanie. In addition to being the perfect space for the wedding, Kittle House also boasted guest rooms for the couple, their families, and the wedding party. Plus, rooms were pet-friendly for Stefanie and Andy‘s beloved dog. |
