With temps finally warming, we thought now was the time to share this summery Hudson Valley wedding. Kinderhook residents Sarah and Chris wanted to share a slice of their hometown with friends and family, and took every opportunity to embrace the local, All-American feel of the Columbia County fairgrounds. “We wanted to emphasize our love of local vendors and keep the feel small (despite our 180 guests,” says Sarah. Hudson-Chatham winery, Chatham Brewery, and Crossroads Brewery provided drinks for the reception, and local rock band, Side Show Willie, played a mix of classic rock and one-hit wonders on the dance floor. Friends and family helped decorate the venue, and Chris’ stepfather built a custom arbor for the couple to say ‘I do’ under. “Make your day as symbolic of your becoming a new couple as can be,” advises Sarah. “We truly felt all the details made the day so personal.”
