A Retail Destination and Women’s Empowerment Shop All in One

I Am More Scarsdale is a fashion boutique that strives to be much “more” than a regular retail shop. While on a walk along the Bronx River Parkway, locals Marcy Berman-Goldstein and Abbey Solomon decided to open a business that would inspire and empower women and create a central location for them to connect. The Am in the title stands for their initials, and More “is for any of the long list of mantras our customers want to feel about themselves, including ‘confident,’ ‘strong,’ ‘fierce,’ and ‘loved,’” says Berman-Goldstein. The store, open since late 2017, hosts wellness events to educate their clientele on issues affecting women and their families. Their mission is to empower women to feel confident, support up-and-coming women-owned businesses and designers, and to give back to local and women’s philanthropic organizations. The store carries women’s casual clothing and accessories, like bags, jewelry, and shoes. Brands like Hayward House NYC, Sclarandis Shoes, and Eden Presley Fine Jewelry can be found among a long roster of carefully curated labels, ranging in price from $30 to $300.
