UPS, the industry-leading package delivery company, is opening a brand-new facility in Yonkers, set to begin operations during the busy holiday season.
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano says the new location will not only create a way for locals to ship out those last-minute gifts, it will also bring more job opportunities into the community.
“We are especially excited to welcome UPS to its newest hub in the region as the company soon will bring hundreds of jobs to local and area residents, contributing to our growing economy,” Spano says.

The shipping giant’s move to its new Yonkers facility, located at 555 Tuckahoe Rd, is part of more than $3 billion worth of private investments in the city’s economic development since 2012.
UPS is currently hiring seasonal employees to support the holiday shopping and shipping season, including more than 11,000 jobs in New York and New Jersey at 38 locations throughout the tri-state area. The Yonkers facility is initially expected to bring more than 150 full and part-time employees to the area.
The 435,000 square foot sortation and distribution center adds more package processing power to support the growing demand of businesses and residential customers in Yonkers, Westchester County, and across the state.
President of UPS’s North Atlantic District, Brian Cannon thanked the City of Yonkers for its support of the new facility.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of the economic growth of the city. We look forward to being an active part of this community,” he says.
