Making it to the annual Inc. 5000 list of the country’s fastest-growing private firms earns any entrepreneur some bragging rights. This year, the list again includes innovative businesses in a wide range of industries—everything from consumer products and services to energy, retail, health, real estate, and many others. New York City proved to be the number-one hotspot for high-growth firms this year, with 207 NYC-based companies making the cut (the highest-ranking was #7, Midtown-HQ’d software firm Bounce Exchange).
