Run headlong into fun this weekend at the Rockwood Ramble. The 10K race enjoys breathtaking Hudson River views through Rockefeller State Park and the nearby woods, while participants and spectators can also partake in refreshments and raffles, with proceeds going to benefit the upkeep of the Rockefeller carriage roads, now listed to the State Registry of Historic Places. Advance registration is $35 through Friday, May 31; day-of registration is $40.

If you prefer some stationary outdoor time, head to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla for the 22nd Annual Asian American Heritage Festival. Enjoy traditional music and dance, martial arts demonstrations, ceremonial costumes from various cultures,  and tons of family-friendly activities. Around 7,000 guests come every year, so it’s an event not to be missed!
