5 Yonkers Brunches You Don't Want to Miss

Xaviars on the Hudson

X20 Xaviars on the Hudson

71 Water Grant St
(914) 965-1111

Chef Peter X Kelly’s X20 on the Hudson offers American cuisine with a French, Italian, Spanish, and Asian spin. Sunday brunch seating is from 12 – 2 pm in a vibrant, upscale setting that boasts sweeping views of the Tappan Zee and George Washington Bridges. Brunch is well worth the fixed price of $40, which includes unlimited Champagne and bread, two courses, and one dessert. Mouth-watering menu options range from tempura of shrimp and asparagus to tuna tataki and baby spinach. Foodies, try X20’s poached eggs and creamed spinach entree with crabmeat hollandaise and haricot verts. Or, if you’re in the mood for something a little heavier, try the whole-roasted New York sirloin with truffled Yukon Potato puree. Leave room for dessert and top your meal off with red velvet or chocolate cake, flan, parfait, or even some house-made ice cream. Be sure to book reservations in advance!

Burke’s Restaurant and Bar

645 Bronx River Rd
(914) 237-5137

Brunch, bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys every Sunday for $25? Yes, please! Burke’s, a cozy Irish sports pub, is the perfect place to keep the party going after a long, beer-soaked weekend. From classic American eggs, bacon, and pancakes, to an Irish breakfast that spoils with sausage, black and white pudding, two eggs any style, Irish Bacon, grilled tomato, baked beans, toast, and home fries, there’s no way Burke’s will disappoint those Yonkers hangover sufferers looking to feast and watch Sunday football.

La Bella Havana

35 Main St
(914) 969-1006

From 12 – 3:30 pm every Sunday, La Bella Havana, Cuban restaurant by day and hookah lounge by weekend night, offers a Sunday brunch special for just $9.95. Pick from any brunch item on the menu and they’ll throw in a free Mimosa. Pay $10 extra for all-you-can-drink Mimosas and you just might throw yourself on a plane to Cuba (what you do when you remember Americans can’t fly there only adds to the fun). La Bella Havana offers conventional Cuban brunches including Challah bread in coconut milk, “the traditional Cuban sandwich,” and Havana-style eggs. Sides range from french fries to more traditional offerings, like yuka fries, tostones, and maduros. Overlook the dessert menu and risk missing out on chocolate mousse cake, flan, and an array of Cuban specialty treats.

Katie’s Cottage

52 Central Park Ave
(914) 965-0422

- Partner Content -

We’ll start with this: Brunch at the cottage runs from 12 – 4 pm every Sunday and comes with a complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa. And if that’s not enough by itself: Hungry? Try Katie’s steak and eggs, a 10oz. NY shell steak served with any style eggs and topped with sautéed onions. Too much? Go with Katie’s favorite, a simple-but-satisfying plate of scrambled eggs, served with American bacon on toast. If you’re feeling creative, you can customize an omelet with any filling for just 50 cents per ingredient, or $1.25 for three. Prices range from $9-15 per meal.

McKeon’s Bar and Restaurant

996 McLean Ave
(914) 530-2386

If you’re looking for a decidedly homey Sunday brunch, McKeon’s Bar and Restaurant serves a full Irish breakfast from 12-3 pm. It’s your choice of steak and eggs, chef’s choice omelet, or anything from the regular menu. Plus, McKeon’s throws in a complimentary Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, beer, or glass of wine. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, great for a family meal or a low-key hangout with friends.
