Gracelane Kennels
46 Grace Lane
Ossining, NY
914.762.6188
Situated on eight beautiful acres with forest-like terrain, Gracelane Kennel in Ossining is the oldest continuously operating kennel in the U.S., built in 1911. The family-owned business caters to the tri-state area and serves as lodging for MTA, UN, and police dogs — housing roughly 200 furry friends during peak periods. Owner Bob Gatti has been at the helm of this thriving business since 1976. Gatti says, “We have 166 stalls with 18-foot covered dog runs attached for each guest, so if your dog [likes] physical activity, they can get outdoors no matter what the weather conditions are.”
Each dog is lodged individually with premium Kuranda bedding (as recommended by vets), plus suite upgrades include two 20-minute private walks on the premises. Extended stay packages are available and, of course, grooming is available on-site. Building trust with the dog and its owner is of paramount importance to Gatti who offers individualized webcam access and he proudly exclaims that a lot of his customers are veterinarians.

Pets A Go Go
589 North State Road
Briarcliff Manor
914.458.4181
Owner Nicole Goudey-Rigger decided to open her facility in Briarcliff Manor a number of years ago after having subpar experiences with boarding her own dogs. Her facility offers crate-free boarding — all furbabies undergo an evaluation to ensure that they can behave properly in a social group setting. Excessive growlers or biters need not apply. Goudey-Rigger believes that crate free boarding with 24/7 adult supervision allows dogs to “exercise, explore and be stimulated appropriately, both mentally and physically.” Her crate-free philosophy has many adherents throughout the county and the business has been so successful that she is launching a second location in June on the Stamford/Darien border in Connecticut.
She personally sends photos and videos of her boarders and has even been known to make Thanksgiving and Christmas doggie dinners for furry foodies. On-site grooming utilizes the latest in green beauty products that are paraben-free and/or organic.
