No one wants to be suddenly and unexpectedly sick, but, should illness strike when your GP is all booked up, point the GPS directly towards White Plains. There, the city is finding a growing number of urgent-care facilities ready to accept walk-ins.
CityMD, which has more two dozen locations in NYC and another handful on Long Island, has opened its first White Plains location. A Yonkers branch had been opened already, and a Hartsdale one is coming soon.

​MDxpress isn’t as large of an organization, but it did just open its second location in White Plains. (The first is in Mamaroneck.) Appointments can be made online through ZocDoc.
These are both in addition to Formé, which has been seeing walk-ins since this past summer, making it a veteran on the White Plains urgent-care scene.
One hopes their services aren’t needed, but keep this info on-hand just in case.
