Spring break is almost here! A week off from school means plenty of time for some fun. How can your kids be entertained for a whole week, you ask? Great question! We’ve compiled a whole list of spring break camps to keep kids active and busy during their time off from school.
Sports Mini Camps
Westchester Turf & Tennis Soccer Camp
Have a soccer star on your hands that wants to develop more skills? Send your child to Westchester Turf & Tennis for skill development with coach Stephen Carson of FC Westchester. From April 15 through April 19, kids can focus on developing the soccer skills they need through generous amounts of game-play and guidance. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to children between the ages of 7 and 15.

Kids in Sports
Kids in Sports mini-camp provides a range of activities for children 3 to 7 years old. The camp is half-day and runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and includes sports, arts and craft, story time, cooperative learning games, and more. Nut-free snacks, juice, and water will be provided for campers. The camp runs from April 15 through April 19.

The Rock Club
Do you have a child who likes to climb? Sign him/her up for The Rock Club’s mini camp! Between April 15 and April 19 kids can climb the walls during morning or afternoon sessions. From 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. or 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., kids ages 5 ton 15 can climb to their hearts content. Adventures can range from swinging rope ladders to blasting through obstacle course. Just be sure to dress kids in comfortable, loose clothing.

Sportime USA
This is the place to go if your child likes to have lots of fun activities. Sportime USA is like a mini amusement park with a climbing wall, laser tag, bumper cars, the Spider Climb, video games, and more. Both half-day and full day options are available between April 15 and 19, as well as April 22 for kids age 5 and up.

A-Game Sports
The mini camps at A-Game Sports offers three options to any interested campers. There are the multi-sport, baseball/softball, and basketball camps. The multi-sport plays baseball, dodgeball, soccer, handball, kickball, wiffleball, and other games. Daily and week-long registrations are available. Camp runs from April 15 to April 19 for kids in Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Science Mini Camps
Greenburgh Nature Center
Days of seasonal fun await at Greenburgh Nature Center. Specialists will expose children to a variety of activities each day including animal and nature exploration, nature games, and nature crafts. Enrollment is limited, though, so be sure to pre-register online. The camp runs from April 15 through 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for kids in Kindergarten through third grade. Snack will be provided to each child in attendance. Be sure to dress your child for the weather and messy activities.

Conservation Camp at Westmoreland Sanctuary
Epic adventures await budding young conservationists at Westmoreland Sanctuary. Nature lovers and outdoor kids alike will hike to conduct water testing, amphibian surveys, band and release wild birds, and more during their time at the conservation camp. There are two camp times from April 22 through April 25 depending on the age of your child. For kids 7 to 9 years old, camp lasts from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. For kids age 10 to 15, camp goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spring Fling Mini Camp
Spring is here, so get your kids outdoors to watch all the critters awake from their slumbers. Kids will play games, make crafts, and see everything this spring has to offer young explorers. Teatown Lake Reservation is offering this mini-camp from April 15 through April 19. Kids ages 4 to 5 years old will attend as a half-day, but kids ages 6 to 12 years old will go for the full day. Full day campers are encouraged to pack a lunch, but the camp provides a snack to all attendees.

Art Mini Camps
Hamilton Camp with Artistree Performing Arts
If you have been dying to seen the Broadway show, send your child to Artistree Performing Arts and you can see a kids production. This themed camp will teach your child the songs, dances, and scene of the hit Broadway musical. Classes include acting improv, hip-hop dance, singing, arts and crafts, and more. The week will be capped off with an open house performance for family and friends. Kids in grades four through eight can join the camp from April 15 through April 19. It runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spring Break Camp with Artistree Performing Arts
Not into Hamilton? That’s perfectly fine! Artistree Performing Arts offers two other spring break camps for preschool kids ages 3 to 5 as well as grades K through first and second through third grades. Both camps also run from April 15 to April 19. The preschool camp is from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will introduce children to music and theater including acting games, dance classes, singing, and arts and crafts.
There will be a performance for parents and friends at the end of the week to see your child in the spotlight. The older group will go from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will experience acting, singing, audition techniques, hip-hop, costume design, and much more. A special performance will be offered as well for family and friends.

Pelham Art Center
Pelham Art Center is offering four workshops for kids and teens. Children ages 8 to 14 can sign-up for Create with Clay, where they will learn all about the ceramic process including glazing and firing, and techniques such as hand building, the extruder, and slab roller. Older students can even try out a throwing wheel! This workshop runs the week of April 15 through April 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There are also workshops for making movie trailers (age 12 to 16; 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and horror movies (age 8 to 12; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), running concurrently, as well as a Spring Break Camp for younger children age 3 to 7 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) where they can experiment with clay, paint, and mixed media in between healthy physical activities. This camp provides children with the opportunity to create, share, and learn by being exposed to various forms of art. Artwork created will be inspired by the theme, and activities will include expression through movement, games, acting, and storytelling.

Spring Break at the Picture House Regional Art Center
Also in Pelham, The Picture House will be holding a spring break camp titled “Spotlight on Poetry,” in which kids in grades K through 2 and 3 through 5 will learn movie-making techniques, showcase their acting chops, and create short films inspired by age-appropriate poetry by the likes of Shel Silverstein and E. E. Cummings. Half-day (9 a.m. to noon) and extended-day (9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) options are available for single days and the whole week of April 19 through April 22. Spots start at just $60 (or $54 for Picture House members.)
