Many movies—from light-hearted romps like Taking Woodstock and Hitch to action-packed blockbusters such as I am Legend and Spider-Man 2—are shot at Yonkers Stage, a massive warehouse that big-budget production companies rent and transform into whatever they need. But plenty of major motion pictures have also been filmed at Westchester sites you might recognize (even if they happen to be “standing in” for a different location).
Here are 12 movies and their locations that have filled starring roles in movies released in the 21st century:
Black Swan
The surreal and suspenseful 2010 release Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, was filmed in part at Purchase College.

That same year, 13, with Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham, had scenes shot in Yonkers on the Lenoir Preserve—earlier seen in Ron Howard’s 2001 masterpiece A Beautiful Mind.
It’s Complicated
The Meryl Streep comedy It’s Complicated from 2009 included locations around Hastings-on-Hudson.

2004’s mind-bending drama Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, put Cross County Parkway (between Yonkers and Mount Vernon) on the map.
The Forgotten
Another 2004 film, The Forgotten, starring Julianne Moore, included scenes shot at Westchester County Airport.
