Inspiration
“The colder seasons inspire a desire for warmth, hibernation, and comfort. This arrangement of winter greens responds to that desire, comforting our senses with holiday nostalgia born from the natural world around us,” says Minoo Hersini of Au Ciel Flowers & More.

Tips
1. With all arrangements, begin and end your design with the same ingredient — the one you would consider the most graceful and playful in its natural form.
2. When working with branches, split the end of the branch to allow airflow through. Clean off the leaves on the lower end of the branch that will be submerged in water to allow for a longer-lasting piece.
3. Consider every ingredient like a bloom. Foliage, too, have their own hues, textures, and qualities. Combining different shades of green, from chartreuse to silvery blue-green, will create just as exciting an arrangement as one filled with a multitude of colorways.
4. Create visual movement for the repetition of ingredients, color, shape, and size. Always keep equality of distribution in mind while designing.
