Daniel Contelmo: Daniel Contelmo Architects
Location: Union Vale
The surrounding landscape served as the inspiration for this home’s architecture. The house was built to maximize views, natural light, and use. The front elevation has many traditional cottage elements, combining steep rooflines with graceful curves, while the rear of the house is almost entirely glass, allowing for a full view of the pond on the property. The metal roof reflects the sky and softens the presence of the house. The finished look is unique yet timeless.

Robert Georgio: Georgio Home
Location: Rye
This new-construction house was inspired by the Hamptons and built for a young family who wanted to live in this water community. Like many of the Georgio Home designs, this house is traditional on the exterior, with modern touches in the interior. Robert Georgio’s favorite elements are the rooflines coupled with the window details and the Mont Blanc kitchen countertop, which is a granite that looks like marble. Interior design is by Patricia Georgio Designs.
