Ratings juggernaut Niche just released their 2019 ‘Best Places’ numbers, and one Westchester town is once again riding high.
Using an exhaustive formula that weighs everything from home-value-to-income ratio, public school ratings, cost of living, crime rates, property taxes, and even the average age of newer and total residents, it was determined that Chappaqua is — quantifiably — the #1 best place in all of New York State to buy a home.
With A+ public school and housing grades, and a population of only 1,298, the town was also ranked the #6 Best Place to Raise a Family out of more than 900 municipalities, up from #15 just last year. Chappaqua also ranked #24 for New York in overall best places to live, placing it in the top 0.4 percent.
Still, it’s hard to beat the feeling of that #1 spot.
