It’s the moment that every interior designer waits for each year: the announcement of Patone’s Color of the Year.
This year it is inspired by all things nature and simply “greenery.” This spring-like color is a yellow-green that is fresh and lively just in time to drag us out of our winter dullness.
Use this as pops of color throughout a design or be bold and brash and use it as the main hue in your palette.
It’s fun enough to use in a child’s room or nursery, but can also be sophisticated enough to use on furniture, fabric, shades, and more.
Even Oscar de la Renta is using greenery in some of his home products.
Greenery is definitely a stark contrast to 2016’s two colors: Rose Quartz and Serenity, and here’s hoping it brings with it a breath of fresh air and lots of greenery outside sooner than later.
