Interior designer Suzanne Goldberg has been in the business for more than two decades, but her foray into retail is brand new. Last October, she opened SBG Home & Design in Rye Brook Shopping Center, offering curated accessories, gifts, and interior design services. “About five years ago, the concept of a hybrid design studio and retail boutique really started to resonate,” she says. “I wanted to create a space where style and expertise could meet under one roof.”
Goldberg and her team have put together a thoughtful assortment at various price points. We especially love the embroidered album covers and acrylic pieces featuring luxury brands like boxes from Louis Vuitton and scarves from Hermes—all one of a kind and absolutely stunning ($300-$1,000).
If you’re searching for something equally beautiful but at a lower price point, there are pretty cheeseboards and a variety of serving pieces—plus Goldberg’s signature candle scent that she created in collaboration with Voyage et Cie, called Le Cadeau (gift in French) with notes of black pepper, smokey cade, and sandalwood that would, indeed make a lovely gift.
In addition to artisan options, SBG carries popular brands like Simon Pearce, Bodrum Linens, Mary Jurek, Scalamandré, and Stephen Wilson Studio. And if you’re in the market for design advice, Goldberg’s studio is at the back of the store ready to help with projects big and small.
