New Luxury Condo Project in Rye to Offer Jaw-Dropping Resort-Like Amenities

Imagine the last time you stayed in a luxury resort: You drive up to the front door, hand your keys to the valet, nod to the doorman, pass the lobby attendants on your way up to your suite where perhaps the concierge has left a package waiting for you. You decide to hit up the fitness center or maybe a yoga class before a quick dip in the pool and some evening dining al fresco.

Now imagine you live at that hotel.

That’s the lifestyle The Marriott’s St. Regis Hotels and local developer Alfred Weissman Real Estate, LLC are shooting for with their newest project at 120 Old Post Road. The new development, which will feature 95 one- to four-bedroom condominium units in five three- or four-story buildings ringing a carefully manicured courtyard, will sport a full-time St. Regis staff managing the property, the first ever in the brand’s portfolio not to be connected to a hotel.

Amenities will include the aforementioned valet service, doorman, heated pool, fitness center and yoga room, golf simulator, and 24-hour concierge, along with others such as spa rooms (including a pet spa), lounges, a 15-seat screening room, underground parking, plenty of outdoor recreation areas near fountains and fire pits, and a walking path surrounding the gated property. The spacious, brightly lit condos will feature chef’s kitchens and even butler’s closets to facilitate mail and package delivery.

Family or friends visiting? Two suites will be available for the use of residents’ guests. Need a lift to town or the train station? A custom Mercedes van can shuttle you. And of course, owners are automatically enrolled as VIPs in the St. Regis Hotel reservation system for hotel stays around the world.

Project Executive Tim Perini said the project is targeting Westchester’s empty-nesters and older residents who are looking to downsize their homes without necessarily downsizing their lifestyles or convenience. “This is a truly great project for Rye and Westchester County,” he said, adding that it would allow long-time residents to remain in the communities they love rather than move to more urban areas of Westchester that more traditionally offer these levels of amenities.

“We see this as a place to upsize your luxury,” agreed Alan Weissman, Principal and son of company namesake Alfred. “We see this luxury development as a place to upsize your convenience … your friendships.”

“We have an excess of office space and one of our great opportunities is to repurpose that space for a better use,” said New York State Assemblyman and former Mayor of Rye Steve Otis. “This is going to allow people to come and stay in Rye.”
