The Millennia is offering commercial and residential tenants a host of desirables, now including strict pandemic protections.

The Millennia of New Rochelle is planning to reopen, following the city’s COVID-19 breakout earlier in the year. The Millennia is just one of 31 new apartment complexes that are planning to be built in the New Rochelle area, but it’s one of the first to market its complex pandemic protocols as a desirable feature for tenants.

The Millennia has launched a full-scale program to enforce CDC guidelines and social distancing rules throughout the mixed-use apartment complex. This plan includes multiple aspects to ensure the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.

“We have an amenity that no other tri-state residence can offer: a 15-point package of pandemic-related protocols painstakingly assembled and tested during the lockdown,” says developer Robert Leaf.

One of the main points emphasized in this plan is the use of wellness checkpoints, which guarantee personal protective equipment (PPE), regular testing, temperature taking, sanitization, and designated daily passes to allow people in and out of the building.

In addition to this 15-step plan, any person to enter the building must be evaluated for any signs and symptoms of COVID-19. This plan also includes that face coverings will be required throughout all common spaces, and a six-feet-apart rule is also emphasized at all times.

In terms of the complex’s other amenities, The Millennia will contain 110 studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, including multifamily spaces. It will also include a 5,000-square-foot enclosed atrium complete with waterfalls and greenery. A brand-new fitness center will be incorporated into the building plans, modeled after that of the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas, along with a 5,000-square-foot rooftop with a fire pit, outdoor seating, two barbecues, and an entertainment system.

The plans for The Millennia reflects the bar that has been set for the various other apartment complexes that will open in New Rochelle, once the center of America’s COVID-19 pandemic.
