I don’t know about you, but every time I have a party, everyone ends up in my kitchen, no matter how cozy the fire in the fireplace is. Designer Brenda Kelly Kramer has a solution: “I bought an old secretary at a consignment store for $500. It is a beautiful anchor in my room by day, and the place to be when I entertain. The bar is set up inside the secretary, so I just flip the drop leaf open and voila: instant party. All the cubbies, originally meant for letters, hold glasses, napkins, bowls of limes/lemons. Best of all, now everyone hangs out in my living room!
