Willow Furniture and Design knows a thing about furnishing homes. The Bedford Hills-based company, which has been in business since 1996 (and recently changed their name from Country Willow), has gone through a transformation and is offering even more design services in-house as well as more style varieties of furniture and accessories. Two Willow designers shared their takes on top trends for 2025.
Tell us about the most-wanted interiors.
Andrea Gottschall Cozy, cozy, cozy. Comfortable and chic furniture. A return to deeper seating and bigger scale. More relaxed styles, lots of texture, and earthy palettes. Another big trend is color drenching, which is combining varying shades of color to give a more saturated look and feel.
Any specific furniture trends that you’re seeing?
Pam Smith Our customers are loving the English arm and smaller round arm. It’s a modern twist on a traditional look. The small, rolled arm is teamed up with a lower back cushion and a tapered leg to give it a hipper look.
What about color? Are we done with gray?
PS In my opinion, gray will never completely disappear. We’re just taking a break from it for now. Rusts, crimson, paprika, and greens are in for 2025.
How can homeowners incorporate trends into their current design?
PS Trends are trends, they come and go. Making small changes here and there to update a space is a good way to keep it “now.” I love mixing old and new.
What looks are so last year?
AG Bold statement pieces and bright splashes of color are on their way out. I love the shift to softer styles and textures. That said, there’s always room for a fun, unexpected surprise with pattern.
