Here’s How to Decorate for the Holidays With Jewelry

Enjoy elegant and timeless holiday looks in your home this year by making a statement with unused pieces from your jewelry box.

There’s nothing like a dazzling statement piece of jewelry to pull an outfit together — and ’tis the season for those extra sparkly necklaces and dangling earrings. Before or after jazzing up your holiday outfit with glamorous jewels — costume or authentic — adapt your jewelry into decorations by adorning your home (and hair). Here’s some tips to merge pretty and practical:

Use your jewelry as a tie back for a curtain.

Depending on the size of your curtain, a necklace might fit perfectly. If not, take a small gold safety pin, run it through two links in the necklace, and discreetly pin at the back of the curtain.

Add sparkle to your wreath.

Twist some floral wire through the jump rings in the necklace and attaching at the back. Experts can mix multiple necklaces throughout a garland for a major mantle statement.

Is floral arranging too much work for you?

Just scatter your most beautiful pieces of jewelry among candles along your mantel. The light from the candles will reflect beautifully off of those gems and give your home a glam look.
